In this paper, I analyze the differences between Barack Obama's, Xi Jinping, and Vladimir Putin's 2007-8 inauguration speeches. The analysis focuses heavily on sentence structure, word choices, and the figurative language to convey the message and showcase their cultural differences.
This analysis of "And the sea and love" examines how the use of tropes, word play, and tone brings life to Pierre de Marbeuf's poem. This poem is another demonstration of how I can effectively analyze the use of words and sentence structure to critically think about how the author wants to present his work.
This paper is an exploration of how the theme of materialism is used in Geoge Perec's novel "Things". This paper also focuses on figurative language and sentence structure and how those elements enhance Perec's ideas
This paper examines gender roles in Victor Hugo's Les Misérables. Despite the author stating how this is a progressive piece of literature, this analysis shows how traditional gender norms are still enforced in the novel by examining Colette's and La Thénardier's character even for the time period.
