The following is a list of the major requirements of courses that I have taken for my majors with a brief description of each course.
Economics classes
ECON 3140
Intermediate Microeconomics
This course was about applying economic principles to real-world situations mathematically. It focused mainly on individuals and firms entering and exiting the market in the short term and the long term, and on individual preferences. This is the most important course because it lays the foundation for other economic courses.

ECON 3150
Intermediate Macroeconomics
This course is similar to microeconomics except rather than focusing on the individual, it focused on the economics of the US and other nations as a whole. It also focused on unemployment and inflation.
ECON 3250
Personnel Economics
Personnel Economics focuses on hiring practices and the most effective methods on hiring and retaining potential candidates for job positions. It also focuses on the costs and benefits of compensation, seniority, and long term investments
ECON 4120
International Micro
This course studies the consequences of trade, tariffs, and international policies between the US and other countries using theories from microeconomics.It also studies the history of US trade policies.
ECON 4230
Economics of Health
This course focuses on the application of microeconomic theory to the healthcare system, demand for health insurance and health services, and the role of government policy on healthcare.
ECON 4400
Game Theory
Game Theory studies strategies that individuals and firms use to maximize their payoffs against rivals. Uses math and rational thinking to predict other players moves in an economic setting.
ECON 4010
Labor Mkt Analysis
This class uses macroeconomic theory to analyze labor markets. Includes studying wages, compensation, human capital, unemployment, and incentives to work a set amount of hours.
ECON 4020
Law and Economics
This class applies economic theory to property laws, torts, accidents, and contracts. It also covered the history of laws, how they have changed throughout time, and their consequences.

​FR 3000
Survey of French Lit
This class centers around the analysis of French iconic literature such as works by Perrault, Hugo, Voltaire, and Gaël Faye. It heavily focuses on critically analyzing not just each work but the author’s idea with respect to the time period.
FR 3040
French Short Story
This class focuses on short stories from France and francophonic countries and studies the historical context behind each story. This class studies works by famous writers such Guy de Maupassant and George Sand as well as lesser known writers like La Comtesse de Ségur and Simone Schwarz-Bart.
FR 3070
French Civilization
This class focuses on the history of France from the creation of La Gaule to until the death of Louis XIV. This class also looks at primary sources and analyzes them given the context that they were written in.
FR 3160
French for Int'l Business I
This is the first part of the French for International Business. It focuses mainly on learning business practices in France. Translating business documents, writing CVs, and writing emails in French are also included in this course.
FR 3630
Fr & Franc Poetry
This class focuses on analyzing French and francophonic poetry from a historical and cultural perspective. It also focuses on how a poem's rhyme, meter, rhythm, theme, and figurative language emphasize the message of the poet’s work.

French for Int'l Business II
This is the second part of the French for International. It goes deeper into the business practices with an emphasis on most Francophonic countries. This class also prepared me to take the Diplôme de français professionel affaires B2, which I took at the end of the semester.
FR 4200
French Enlightenment
French Enlightenment is very similar to Survey of French Literature however where that class focused on literature from various time periods, this class focuses on literature from France and its influence on the world during the Enlightenment era. We studied works by George Sand, Claire Duras, Jean-Jacque Rousseau, Alfred de Musset, Denis Diderot and other writers from this era.

Adv French Grammar I and II
This class is an intensive study of the French language. Being four hours long for four days a week, this class greatly enhanced my reading, listening, writing, and speaking skills. I also had to take the final exam that assessed me in all four of those aspects where I received the Diplôme Universitaire d’Études Françaises, Niveau B2. Taken abroad.

Survey of French Literature II
This class focuses on the critical analysis of poems, short stories, extracts from novels, and other pieces of French literature from a historical and cultural standpoint. This class was similar to the other literature classes that I have taken however the difficulty of the class greatly increased. Taken abroad.
COM 490
Politics, and Political Communication in France and the U.S.
This class analyzes the political media and communication in France and its relationship with its allies. It also analyzes the speeches given by French political leaders from both a literal and visual aspect. Taken abroad.

HIST 1730
The West and the World II
Despite the title of the course, this class really focuses on the most influential people and events of the entire world. We would also analyze primary sources from a historical context. This class gives you a different and lesser known perspective from the world’s most famous events.

Financial Accounting Concepts
This class is an introduction to accounting principles that focuses on the analysis of financial data like balance sheets, financial statements, and bank statements. This classed honed my abilities to analyze statistical data:
MKT 4270
International Marketing
This class studies marketing principles and applies it to the global environment and global businesses. It also focuses on cultural differences between foreign firms and target markets and enhances my ability to further understand and empathize with cultures that are different from my own.
MGT 3030
Global Business
Being similar to International Marketing, this class also studies marketing principles applied to the world, but also studies heavily on the evolving roles of businesses across the globe.
STAT 3090
Introductory Business Stats
This class introduces probability and statistics from a managerial context. This class focuses on the basics of sampling distributions, statistical experiments, descriptive statistics, and expectations.
ENGL 3040
Business Writing
Differing from other English classes where I would analyze English literature, this class analyzes text from professional businesses such as reports, letters, and proposals. There was also a team project where the class was split into two and presented our ideas to members of Clemson’s management and marketing team.
MATH 2070
Business Calculus II
This second part class is a continuation of calculus of several variables and multiple integrals, though this class included problems of these from a business perspective.
